Why do you only book online? Can't I get an estimate over the phone?
Having the details of your move using our
Estimate Request Form allows us to provide a much more solid estimate up front, with no surprises on move day. We've found that when a customer is asked to provide the details of the move using our
FORM link, they are much more accurate than if they were to list everything in a phone call.
Why do you ask me to include so much detail about my move including all the items being moved and the access situation?
Having this precious info allows us to figure out the best way to take care of you and helps us provide you with a more accurate quote. Knowing the details of the items being moved helps us figure out what size truck will be best to accommodate your move. Knowing the access situation including whether there are stairs, elevators or long hallways helps us know whether 2 guys could rock it for you or if a 3rd or maybe even a 4th guy would be better to make sure you get a good show.
Can you tell me exactly how much my move will cost me?
Because there are so many variables and every situation is so unique, it's hard to provide an exact quote for a move. The info you provide helps us give you an estimate and can help get a ballpark figure for the job.
How far in advance do I need to book my move?
The end of the month is by far the busiest time to schedule a move, so please contact us well in advance to make sure that we have availability. Weekends are also the preferred move days, so if you have the flexibility to move during the week, we can often accommodate moves with shorter notice or last minute requests.
Do you require a deposit and is there a cancellation fee?
We do not require a deposit at this time. We ask that you simply let us know with as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel your move, preferably at least 72 hours before your move date.
Are you licensed and insured?
We are fully licensed with the state of California and fully insured with Liability Insurance, Cargo Insurance and Workers Comp Insurance.
Why aren't you as cheap as the guys I saw on Craigslist?
There are a few reasons. There is truth to the old adages "You get what you pay for" and "Too good to be true". If you research many of those movers that offer crazy low rates this is what you will often find. First, when you check out these movers on websites like YELP and Angieslist, many of the moving companies with the cheap rates aren't well reviewed.
They are also likely not insured or licensed. Though working with unlicensed or uninsured movers may save you money short term, if the unfortunate situation where something unforeseen happens, you'll have no way to protect yourself. If the movers are licensed and insured then they likely hire cheap day labor to perform the move. This allows them to charge less because they don't pay the help very well.
What is your delivery range?

Yes. All major furniture items are covered with moving pads while they travel in the truck. We have 2 wheel dollies for boxes and flat dollies for furniture pieces as well 2 free wardrobe boxes for you to use for the day. All of this is included in the hourly rate. Major appliances may require additional dollies and would be charged accordingly. We also offer wrapping supplies as additional protection for a small fee.
How do you charge for breaks, lunch etc.?
We're pretty hardcore so typically we don't take breaks unless it's a longer move and then we will take a short lunch break. In the event that we do stop for lunch, that time will be deducted from the final hours of the move.
Is it customary to tip the movers?
It is not expected but a tip is always appreciated. If you think the guys put on a good show for you, then feel free to show your appreciation in monetary form. In regards to the amount to tip, we like to say, just do what's in your heart.
